Fruits Basket is the shortest anime i have ever watched. it's only 26 episodes long but lucky for us the fans the manga go's a lot farther. Fruits Basket is about a girl named Tohru Honda. Both of her parents are dead. Her father died when she was young but her mother just died recently in a car crash. She had to go live with her grandfather. Her grandfather had to get there house renevated so he thought Tohru would go stay at a friends house but unknown to him, she was living in a tent. She lives very close to the Sohma residence, home of Shigure and Yuki sohma. Yuki goes to her school and is known by all the girls as "prince Yuki". When the sohmas had found her living outside, they invited her to live w/ them. Instead of paying them living expenses, she would cook and clean. The next day another member of the Sohma family showed up. His name is Kyo Sohma. When Kyo had come into the picture, Tohru had also found out the secret of the sohma family. Some of the members of the Sohma family turn into the 12 members of the chinese zodiac along w/ the cat. (when they are hugged by a member of the opposite sex or are weak) Yuki is the rat, Kyo is the cat, and Shigure is the dog. Tohru must keep the secret from everyone including her closest friends. Eventually, Tohru relizes that this secret is actually a curse that Tohru is detemined to break. Fruba is a good anime and a great manga. It's the most popular shojo manga in america. I love it.
