Full Metal Alchemist (FMA) is my 2nd Favorite anime. The Elric brothers (Edward and Alphonse) are the main characters. as children, there mother died from a disease and since there father had left they became orphans. They ended up living w/ there good friends and neighbors the Rockbells, Pinako and Winry. Ed and Al decided to try and use alchemy to bring there mother back from the dead unknown to pinako and winry. There attempt failed...but at a terrible price. Edward lost his left leg and Alphonse lost his entire body. in an attempt to save his brother, edward attached alphonse's soul to a suit of armor and Ed lost his right arm. Alphonse Brought Edward back to Pinako and Winry and they made ed artificial limbs (automail) Now all Ed and Al want to do is find the legendary Philosephers stone to help restore there bodies to what they onece were. FMA is only 51 episodes long and also has a movie. it may be short but it's a great anime.
